Hey all. I've got a couple of problems with my gear that I thought I might float past you guys.
1. One of my Goodwood heads is dead. I could buy a replacement for $30 plus shipping, but all I really need to do is replace the (much less expensive) piezo sensor, right? How difficult would that be? I've never worked with such things before.
2. Don't expect that there's anything to be done about this, but the cymbal ports on my RB2 kit are also dead. They lasted about a week and a half after I bought my MadCatz cymbals before giving out, rendering my awesome new cymbals useless. (I took the cymbals back to Best Buy and exchanged them for brand-new cymbals to see where the issue lied—and the new ones didn't work either.) I'm guessing I'm just SOL on this one since the kit is long out of warranty. |

Replacing a piezo should be relatively simple, really.
I couldn't say about the cymbal jacks, sorry. _________________ Proudly anti-1337-speak, and anti-emoticon. |

| Is the dead GWM head on the kit with the dead RB2 cymbal jacks? If so, I'd move that dead head to another spot & test it before ordering a replacement; it could be that that actual port is dead, too. |

Yeah, I did swap the head to a different position on the kit to be sure that it wasn't actually a dead drum port along with the dead cymbal ports on the kit itself.
Where would be the best place to pick up an appropriate replacement piezo? My first instinct was RadioShack but searching there didn't turn up anything. |
