Hey everyone, I thought will all the talk of mods and e-kits it would be interesting to see what everyone's setup looks like. I have a pretty simple e-kit (Roland TD-3) and just finished setting it up this past weekend. Take a look at my blog if you want to see more detail of setting it up.

Here are some pictures (also in the blog). You can click on each picture for a larger image size:

The setup isn't perfect yet, but it's a start. I think I'm going to move the ride cymbal back behind the medium tom and put a 2nd crash where the ride is now. So what does everyone else's look like? I want to see some modded RB stock set, some ion sets, some TD-20s, etc.

My lowly Yamaha DTXPress setup (DTXPress I brain, DTXPress 3 rack/toms/cymbals, plus the upgraded TP100SD snare drum. Basic Yamaha kick pedal.

I need to grab an extension cord so I can move my brain up to my rack Smile

Two questions:
1) Why is your floor tom way out there like that? Try bringing it in a bit.
2) Why is your pedal so off-kilter? I hope you don't actually play with it being off center on the KD-8 like that. Smile

1) I was trying to remember where the floor tom was on the actual drum kit that I play. I will probably move it in for Rock Band purposes.
2) That picture was taken before I set up the pedal correctly. It's attached to the KD-8 now like it should be.

namike: That's a pretty nice looking kit (and sound system on the tv). I'm curious - what kind of headphones do you have? They look nice and I'm thinking about getting a new set.

The headphones I use are these Vic Firth's:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Vic-Firth-SIH1-Isolation-Headphones-101547305-i1137888.gc

I bought them from my local GC. Since you see I have tile throughout the front part of the house, drumming, even on my e-kit can get loud with all the echo sounds. I can put those headphones on and practice without hearing anything but drum sounds from the module. The home theater stuff is nothing special....it's just one of those "Home Theater in Box" Onkyo setups from a few years back.

Thanks Mike!

Any more pictures of e-kits or modded RB kits out there? Don't be shy!

I love these kinds of threads. It's always neet to see other peoples set ups and compare arrangements. I'll get some new pics up this weekend. I got some more goodies since last pic post.
Merc, is that a hi hat pedal directly next to the kick? Is that your normal playing position?

Yeah, thats the only way I can play, I can't get the HH pedal right with my left foot, but I can bass fine with my left foot.

Thank you.

I just added the "double trouble" setup so I can get my XBOX 360 on.
