| Do you think the MIDI controller work on this type of electronic drumset? It has a MIDI port of course and I think it can be easily programmed to work, but I just thought I'd ask since I haven't seen much about Simmons kits working with Rock Band |

Read the manual. If the SD7K brain can do it, instructions will be in there. _________________ WARNING: Our group is not a friend of Gear Acquisition Syndrome (G.A.S.) Anonymous.

I used the brains of the SD7K once and it was not quite what I was expecting. I did the MIDI mapping that everyone knows by know and the brain just did not trigger anything when I hooked it up to thw GHWT drums...
I then played with the MIDI mapping a bit and found that a very odd signal mapping works with the brain:
(gamepad color, Simmons voice)
Red, 18
Green, 25
Yellow, 26
Blue, 28
Kick, 16
Orange, 29
Why was that? I have no clue. The Simmons manual is lacking at best, it only helps you find the power switch if you ask me.
Anyhow, let me know how this works for you. |
