Hi all was just wondering if any of you guys have come across any good tutorials on how to make vids. All I want to have my camera film and my audio direct record ie in my case in cubase. I know I can do this and just match them up I sync the audio to video but was wondering how you guys do some of the vids, there must be something out there that will let you direct record the audio when filming ie drums - line out to pc, for sound when recording your vid. Thanks all  |

Exactly what kind of vids are you talking about making here? RB vids? Real drumming vids?

Well I was going to start with guitar vid. Use the tracks out of rockband import to cubase make a backing track with the guitar removed - thats easy enough. Then I was going to use the web cam to fim me playing guiatr along to the track whilst recording the track I'm also playing directly. I have learnt to do all of that, but its such a pain as it would be much easier to just have a piece of software that lets you do all that in one unit and not have to marry the video to audio using different packages.
I got a few workarounds ie use a dv camacorder and link the audio to line in, mine only has external mic in though. But then you lose the audio editing part ie seperate audio files. I could use camtasia software to do that too, but windows 7 removed mix down due to legal complaints and the fix doesnt always bring it back. I just wish vegas or premier would let you record (capture video) whilst playing the audio tracks ie a sort of on the fly punch in editing.
But looks like its do it all seperate and sync up later  |
