Here's a pic of my set.

Haven't played much RB on it lately (drumset is settled in the home office with a dedicated PC for VST (so too much of a PITA to move), while the PS3 has been repurposed for Bluray and Netflix streaming in the family room), but I am taking the time to learn to play IRL.

This is my TD-3 I picked up early January for $525
Still waiting for my GHWT MIDI box from Mike and I'll be all set. Sucks I don't have a mesh snare at least, but hey $525 was a really good deal.

That was my same original idea - then I saw a Mercury Travel Set at my local store, and bought and converted it. Yours is beautiful, tough... Wink

Teal, what's up with your blue cymbal being under the pad? Do you play it with your knee or something?

at least the way I play, if feels natural for it to be there. I use it for the occasional single blue note.

As long as it makes sense to you, my friend Smile

I feel like I would die and/or break something if I attempted having a cymbal there. It is a genius location from a convenient mounting perspective though

I upgraded my kit a bit lately. Did a "mesh head" mod on the remaining Alesis triggers, added a couple of ConcertCast triggers, and replaced the Surge HiHat with a Visu-Lite.

Then put it all on a nice big Roland rack:

Now I need some more triggers to fill the rack!

Here's my kit - like I mentioned it's mostly a stock Ion right now, but I'm planning to upgrade it through the next couple of months.
