hey
see pic... using an angle grinder with a cutting disk, cut off the black /\ without cutting the __ line. then bend. do both sides. if its a bit tight you can hammer it until the bracket fits the shell. then take the angle grinder and use it to round off sharp edges especially the side that touches the shell. I put electrical tap on mine. you'll nee to drill holes if using this bar i'm using. you might need new screws with smaller washers if your current one dont fit

Awesome - that's perfect for me. Very nice work and thanks so much for sharing! I'm not sure what I'll do to cut yet - hacksaw, dremel, jigsaw, hmmm... _________________ Proudly anti-1337-speak, and anti-emoticon. |

I had the same problem. CoinStar takes like 9%. Most banks have coin sorters, but look finding one that actually works. |
If you get Amazon.com credit at a CoinStar machine instead of a slip for cash, there is no %-age taken. I use Amazon so much that it's practicaly the same as cash for me. |

update: change of plans, after purchasing an extra vertical bar to be used as a horizontal bar I decided to work on the stock ion rack instead of building the new kit mainly i have to seriously combine R&D with practice with the very little free time i get these days. having a baby in the next room, my biggest problem is the KD8s and my heavy foot - its too damn noisy so i'm glad i've finally replaced it
some pics
i'll be working on the cymbals next! and maybe organize the wires
hey i thought of using a knee(lap) pad for a rimshot trigger. whatchuguysthink? |
